Sunday September 25th, 2011, we had our first significant wind. Winds peaked at about 1pm. The Home Education Exchange (Formally known as North City Elementary) in Shoreline recorded a peak gust of 36mph. Normal standards this is just a breezy day, however this early in the fall most trees still have all of their summer foliage which acts as wind sails. Several power outages occurred in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park. Scattered outages occurred else where around the Puget Sound as well.
